Emirates Businesswomen Council Showcases Commitment At 7th GCC Businesswomen Forum In Doha
The Emirates Businesswomen Council (EBWC) recently took part in the 7th GCC Businesswomen Forum. This event, held in Qatar on 12th and 13th November, focused on "Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Investment." The forum was organised by the Federation of GCC Chambers alongside Qatar Chamber, with backing from the Gulf Cooperation Council's General Secretariat.
The EBWC delegation included 30 businesswomen who aimed to present a forward-thinking vision for empowering Gulf women in the evolving economy. Their participation underscores a commitment to fostering joint Gulf cooperation and sharing expertise among women entrepreneurs, especially in areas like digital economy, renewable energy, and tech entrepreneurship.

The Council's efforts align with the vision of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Known as the "Mother of the Nation," she is the Chairwoman of the General Women's Union and holds several other prominent positions. Her vision supports Emirati women's involvement in entrepreneurship and international representation through initiatives that boost their global presence.
Ayesha Mohammed Almulla, Chairperson of the EBWC, highlighted the forum's significance as a platform for aligning economic visions shaped by Gulf women. She stated, "Building a diversified and sustainable Gulf economy requires genuine cooperation and partnership among businesswomen across the GCC."
During discussions at the forum, UAE delegates engaged with their GCC counterparts to explore opportunities for collaboration. They focused on sustainable finance and entrepreneurial innovation, aiming to enhance economic integration and empower Gulf women to assume leadership roles in development.
The Council emphasised that its initiatives are part of a national strategy supported by international partnerships. These efforts reflect the UAE’s leading role in empowering women and expanding their participation in local, regional, and global markets.
By participating in such forums, EBWC aims to strengthen its role in shaping an economic future where Gulf women play a pivotal role. The focus remains on expanding joint investments in emerging sectors driven by innovation and knowledge.
This engagement not only highlights the importance of cooperation but also showcases how Gulf women can contribute significantly to modern economies through shared expertise and strategic partnerships.
