Historic Debut: Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Kicks Off In Brazil

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), and with the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of EAHS, the Helvetia Riding Centre in Indaiatuba, near Sao Paulo, Brazil, will host the 7th Show of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for 2024.

The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup was launched last September under His Highness Sheikh Mansour's patronage. It includes 10 championships across various continents such as the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, and both Americas. Each round offers valuable cash prizes for the top five winners.

Arabian Horse Cup Starts in Brazil

Arabian horses have a long history in Brazil dating back to 1929 when the first Arabian horse was born there. Initially used by the army, these horses later became integral to sporting activities. The Brazilian Association of Arabian Horse Breeders was officially recognised in 1964, and that same year saw the creation of Brazil's first studbook for Arabian horses.

The first show of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for 2024 took place in Australia last February. Egypt hosted the 6th Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Show from June 27th to 29th, 2024. These events are part of a broader strategy to support Arabian horse breeders globally.

This tournament marks a significant milestone as it is the first EAHGC Show to be held in South America. It will feature numerous Arabian horses from various studs across Brazil, particularly from Sao Paulo state which has many breeders and owners.

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad emphasised that this event supports EAHGC's success and strengthens its global standing. He noted that this aligns with Sheikh Mansour's vision and ongoing support. "We expect the show to achieve great success in line with previous events," he stated.

Preparations and Expectations

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan confirmed that EAHS has completed all necessary preparations for this show. They have met all requirements to ensure these events' success in a manner befitting UAE's name.

"We saw how keen owners and breeders were to participate and compete for championship titles," added Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad. This enthusiasm highlights the importance of such events in raising the status of Arabian horses worldwide.

The Brazilian event is expected to attract a large number of participants eager to showcase their prized horses. This aligns with EAHGC's goal to support breeders and owners globally while promoting these majestic animals.

The tournament aims to reinforce strategies supporting Arabian horse breeders worldwide. By hosting events in diverse locations, EAHGC helps elevate these animals' status on a global scale.

This event will undoubtedly contribute significantly to EAHGC's mission by bringing together enthusiasts from different regions. It also underscores UAE's commitment to promoting equestrian sports internationally.
