Scottsdale To Host Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup 2024 Under Sheikh Mansour's Patronage
Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) is set to present the 3rd round of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup. This prestigious event will unfold in Scottsdale, Arizona, from 28-30 March, running concurrently with the 2024 Arabian Breeders World Cup. Since its first event in 1955, the Arabian Breeders World Cup has been recognized as one of the most significant Arabian Horse Show events globally.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup, inaugurated in September last year under His Highness Sheikh Mansour's patronage, spans 10 rounds across various continents including the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, South and North America. This initiative is closely monitored by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors. Each round offers substantial cash prizes for the top five winners, fostering a competitive spirit among participants.

The Scottsdale Championship emerges as a collaboration between EAHGC and ABWC, providing breeders from the USA, Canada, and Mexico with a platform to showcase their horses and vie for significant rewards. The Arabian Horse Shows in Scottsdale have been a fixture since 1995, gaining acclaim for their high standards and competitive environment. Arizona's commitment to hosting key sporting events has made it a hub for equestrian sports enthusiasts worldwide.
The inaugural leg of the 2024 EAHGC took place in Australia at the 2024 Australasian International Arabian Championship. This event was hosted over two days at Willinga Park in the Baulkham Hills area. Following this, the second leg was conducted in Manama, Bahrain from March 14-16, further highlighting the global reach and appeal of these competitions.
Mohamed Al Harbi, Director-General of the EAHS, emphasized the role of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan in promoting Arabian Horse Shows globally. This initiative not only honors the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan but also cements UAE's position as a leading figure in equestrian sports development worldwide. The selection of cities for hosting these events is strategic, aimed at expanding services and support for Arabian Horse Show enthusiasts. The positive reception to the Australian and Bahraini legs has spotlighted the event's organizational excellence and competitive intensity.
This series of events underscores the UAE's dedication to enhancing equestrian sports on a global scale. By providing a platform for breeders to compete internationally, the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup plays a crucial role in promoting cultural exchange and fostering connections within the global equestrian community.
