Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup 2024 is set to commence its fourth round on 1st June at the Equestrian Arena Le Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau, France. This marks a significant milestone as it is the inaugural event of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup series to be held in Europe, aligning with the prestigious "City of Kings Show" Championship.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup, initiated in September of the previous year under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed and with diligent oversight from Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), spans across various continents including the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, and both South and North America. This global tournament is organized in collaboration with local authorities in each hosting country and offers substantial cash rewards for the top five contenders in each round.
The journey of the 2024 Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup began in Australia with its first leg taking place last February during the 2024 Australasian International Arabian Championship. The event unfolded over two days at Willinga Park in the Bawley Point area. Following this, the second leg was hosted in Manama, Bahrain, from 14th to 16th March. The third leg coincided with the Breeders World Cup and took place last March in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States.
This series not only showcases the beauty and agility of Arabian horses but also strengthens international ties through equestrian sports. The inclusion of Fontainebleau as a venue highlights France's pivotal role in equestrian history and provides a splendid backdrop for this prestigious competition. As the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup continues to expand its footprint globally, it reaffirms the UAE's commitment to promoting equestrian sports on an international scale.
