Fifth Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Wraps Up In Denmark

The 5th Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) of the 2024 season concluded on Saturday at the Danish National Equestrian Centre in Vilhelmsborg. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS).

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of EAHS, also followed up on the event. Several Arabian horses from Denmark and other EU countries participated in this fifth EAHGC Show, which was held in conjunction with the 2024 Vilhelmsborg International Horse Show.

EAHGC 2024 Denmark Finale

Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director-General of the EAHS, witnessed the competitions and crowned the winning horses. The gold medal in the Junior Fillies Championship was awarded to "Amaya MX" of Meixner Arabians. "Wanella OX" of Husted Arabians secured the silver medal, while "Lady Morgana EA" of Elvelund Arabians took home the bronze medal.

In the Junior Colts Championship, "KA Wortex Neymar" of Pavel Kanka won the gold medal. "Panier" of Lech Blaszczyk earned the silver medal, and "Mmacabello" of Marianne Carlsen received the bronze medal. The Senior Mares Championship saw "Bekanzha WZA" of Mette Levorsen clinch the gold medal. "TU Elinora" of Falcon Arabians took silver, and "TA Katrinne" of Tarenas Arabian Stud won bronze.

For the Senior Stallions Championship, "Amanito" of Turban Stud secured the gold medal. "AWA Waseem" of Jacqueline Vinkler HV Arabians won silver, while "JBS Abu Anaza" of Jesper Broch Rasmussen took bronze.

The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup was launched last September under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and monitored by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan. The series consists of ten championships held across various regions including the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, and both South and North America. Cash prizes are allocated for the top five winners in each show.

The first show for the 2024 season took place last February in Australia during the Australian International Arabian Championship at Willinga Park in Bawley Point. The second show was hosted by Bahrain in Manama from March 14-16. Scottsdale, Arizona hosted the third show in conjunction with the Arabian Breeders World Cup last March. The fourth show occurred on June 1 at Equestrian Arena Le Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau, France.

Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi highlighted that the fifth championship featured diverse participation from Arabian horses across Denmark and other European countries. He noted that the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup aims to support owners and breeders worldwide.

The Cup Championships will return to the Arab region at the end of June with Egypt hosting the sixth championship from June 27-29. The seventh championship will be held in Brazil on July 7. Morocco will host the eighth championship from July 20-21. The ninth edition will take place in the Czech Republic on August 23 before concluding with the tenth championship in Syria from September 20-21.
