Emirates Airline Foundation Debuts Special A380 Livery To Aid Children
Emirates has unveiled a new A380 livery to highlight the humanitarian efforts of the Emirates Airline Foundation, which has positively impacted thousands of children globally. The design, inspired by the Foundation’s logo, features children's artwork with pastel stars in light green, warm orange, baby blue, and soft pink across the fuselage. It carries a message that encapsulates the Foundation’s mission: "Help to support children in need."
In Kenya, the Foundation supports several initiatives including the Little Prince Nursery and Primary School, Alfajiri Street Kids, and Starehe Boys’ Centre. These projects provide education, rehabilitation, and support for vulnerable children. Additionally, scholarships are sponsored for underprivileged boys at Starehe Boys’ Centre.

The Foundation also extends its support to 14 NGOs across 9 countries. This includes the Emirates-CHES Home for 100 abandoned HIV-positive children in India and Prithipura Communities in Sri Lanka. In Bangladesh, it funds the Emirates Friendship Hospital, which offers healthcare services to over 650,000 impoverished individuals.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the Emirates Airline Foundation is a non-profit charity providing humanitarian aid and essential services for children. The aim is to create a meaningful and lasting impact in communities worldwide.
Over two decades, the Foundation has supported more than 50 projects by partnering with community organisations and NGOs. These partnerships ensure safe housing, food, medical care, and education for children regardless of their background or location. Funding comes from donations made by Emirates customers, donors, and employees.
Support Across Continents
The engine cowls of the A380 are painted in warm orange to symbolise a brighter future for disadvantaged children. The aircraft is set to fly to Johannesburg today where it will support two key projects backed by the Foundation.
In South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil, and Korea Republic, the focus remains on education and healthcare for children. Organisations such as Fikelela Children’s Centre, Singakwenza, St Marcellin’s Children’s Village, Saint Rita de Cassia Orphanage, and Externato Sao Francisco de Assis receive support from the Foundation.
Local Initiatives in Dubai
In Dubai itself, the SAFE Centre for Autism benefits from the Foundation's support. This centre provides a safe and inclusive environment for children with complex learning difficulties.
Last year alone saw over 500 flight tickets issued by the Foundation on Emirates flights for volunteers engaged in medical, engineering, and educational missions worldwide. These missions included providing surgeries and healthcare services in countries such as India, Uganda, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.
The Emirates Airline Foundation continues its mission to make a significant difference in children's lives through various global initiatives aimed at improving education and healthcare standards.
