Emirates And Air Canada Extend Successful Codeshare Partnership Until December 2032
Emirates and Air Canada have decided to broaden their strategic alliance, building on the achievements of their three-year collaboration. This partnership, initiated in 2022, has facilitated travel for over 550,000 passengers through 56 shared destinations across Canada, the US, Dubai, and other key global locations.
The airlines signed a memorandum of understanding to extend their codeshare agreement and joint loyalty programme until 31st December 2032. This extension aims to deepen cooperation, enhance passenger services, and explore new Canadian gateways within the network. The collaboration is expected to boost tourism and trade between Canada and the Middle East.

Adnan Kazim from Emirates highlighted that this agreement strengthens both passenger and cargo capabilities. It will improve customer experiences on codeshare flights and expand network connectivity. Travellers in both markets will benefit from more seamless travel options due to this enhanced cooperation.
Mark Galardo of Air Canada noted the partnership's success has led to its early renewal and expansion until 2032. The updated alliance is anticipated to significantly boost tourism and trade between the two nations. It will provide travellers with more choices while supporting air cargo cooperation, easing goods movement between the Americas, Middle East, and Indian subcontinent.
Mary-Jane Lorette from Air Canada emphasised that partnerships are vital for expanding destination networks efficiently. Since 2022, over half a million passengers have enjoyed seamless travel between Emirates and Air Canada. Nearly 500 passengers daily have benefited from this collaboration.
The airlines are also considering a joint cargo project to enhance global goods movement efficiency. This initiative would further support trade by facilitating smoother cargo operations across continents.
The extended partnership promises broader travel options for passengers while enhancing air cargo operations. By fostering closer ties between Canada and the Middle East, it aims to strengthen economic links through improved connectivity.
