Bahrain Announces Eid Al-Adha Prayer Sites With Special Provisions

The Sunni Endowments Directorate has officially slated Eid al-Adha prayers to commence at 5:05 A.M. on the first day of Eid. Under the stewardship of Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, a designated committee has meticulously selected several mosques and prayer sites, ensuring their readiness to welcome worshippers for this significant occasion.

Understanding the diverse linguistic needs of the community, the Directorate has made additional provisions for non-Arabic-speaking residents. Schools across all governorates will host Eid prayer sites, catering specifically to this demographic, ensuring an inclusive prayer experience for all.

Designated Prayer Sites

A mix of open mosques and specific locations have been earmarked for Eid al-Adha prayers. These include:
- Hidd (Block 111)
- Arad (Arad Fort Square)
- Salmaniya
- Askar (Heritage Village)
- Zallaq (Zallaq Youth Centre)
- New Al-Ramli Housing Area

However, several mosques will remain closed:
- East Hidd (Julai'a Neighbourhood)
- Bu Shaheen Neighbourhood Mosque
- Mahra bint Abdulla bin Abdulrahman Fakhro Mosque
- Al Nour (Al Kooheji) Mosque

...and others, including notable mosques in Muharraq, Busaiteen, Diyar Al-Muharraq, Isa Town, and various locations in Hamad Town and Budaiya.

Guidelines for Worshipers

The Sunni Endowments Directorate urges all worshippers to attend the designated mosques and prayer sites, adhering strictly to the guidelines laid out. These measures are in place to ensure that the Eid prayers are conducted smoothly and respectfully, honouring the sanctity of the occasion.

For those seeking detailed information on specific prayer sites or any updates, the Directorate encourages consulting its official channels. This proactive approach aims to facilitate a harmonious and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha prayer experience for the entire community.

This year's organization and planning reflect a deep commitment to accommodating the needs of the community, ensuring that the Eid al-Adha prayers are accessible and inclusive for all members, regardless of linguistic background. The efforts by the Sunni Endowments Directorate, under the guidance of Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajri, underscore dedication to fostering a sense of unity and spiritual well-being among worshippers during one of the most important celebrations in the Islamic calendar.
