Ehsan Platform Advances Institutional Philanthropy With AI-Driven Giving In Saudi Arabia

The Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work continues to reshape digital giving in Saudi Arabia, combining data tools with transparent systems. Donors are able to send support quickly, follow where funds go, and rely on clear criteria that direct assistance to eligible individuals and families.

Since the launch of Ehsan, donations have passed SAR14 billion through more than 330 million transactions. During 2025 alone, contributions exceeded SAR4.5 billion, spread across over 135 million individual donations, reflecting strong participation from donors across the Kingdom and from various income levels.

Instant payment systems support this flow and help keep the donation experience straightforward and efficient for users.

Data and artificial intelligence sit at the centre of Ehsan’s operations. The eligibility platform uses accurate indicators to assess cases and confirm who should receive help. This process runs within a secure governance framework, which aims to protect information, reduce duplication, and distribute aid based on clear and consistent standards.

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) supervises development of Ehsan and manages its digital ecosystem. Automation simplifies many charitable procedures, while instant reports and tailored suggestions appear for donors. These tools are designed to enhance confidence, keep users informed, and suggest suitable channels for repeated giving.

Ehsan has also contributed to strengthening the wider non-profit sector. Joint work with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector supports digital infrastructure, improves operational processes, and encourages charities to adopt data-based methods. This alignment helps organisations handle funds responsibly and respond more effectively to community needs.

Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work Ramadan campaign and access channels

Leadership support remains central to Ehsan’s activities. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud approved the launch of the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work through Ehsan on Ramadan 3, 1447 AH, targeting the period of highest seasonal giving.

The campaign aims to increase the impact of charitable work during Ramadan by directing donations through an integrated digital system. People can contribute using the Ehsan application, the official website at ehsan.sa, or the unified phone number 8001247000, which together offer broad access across Saudi Arabia.

Ehsan’s combination of human values, data analysis, and automated services continues to frame how organised giving operates in the Kingdom. With clear oversight from SDAIA, cooperation with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, and strong engagement from donors, the platform is set to remain a central channel for structured charitable work.
