Ehsan Exhibition Showcases Philanthropy's Impact With Al-Salam Endowment Hospital
The National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan) recently took the stage at an exhibition to demonstrate the significant impact of donor contributions. This event was part of the fourth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work, initiated last Friday with the blessing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The campaign kicked off with two substantial donations from the leadership, underscoring their ongoing commitment to enhancing charitable efforts, particularly during Ramadan.
One of the standout achievements showcased at the exhibition was the near completion of the Al-Salam Endowment Hospital project in Madinah. This pioneering project marks the first endowment hospital in Saudi Arabia, strategically located near the Prophet's Mosque. Spanning an area of about 750 square meters, the hospital boasts 14 floors and is designed to cater to a wide range of medical needs. Its facilities include an Emergency Department capable of serving over 4,000 patients weekly, an Intensive Care unit for more than 300 patients per week, and a Dialysis department that can accommodate over 400 patients weekly.

The exhibition featured various pavilions that vividly illustrated through interactive screens how philanthropy has made a difference across multiple sectors. Visitors were engaged with images showing the tangible effects of donations in both charitable and developmental areas. An interactive map provided a comprehensive overview of how generosity has reached beneficiaries across different regions through the Ehsan platform.
Another highlight was the Ehsan Endowment Fund, established during the third annual donor ceremony in January. The fund aims to bolster the charitable sector within the Kingdom by ensuring financial sustainability. It offers sustainable endowment opportunities for both individuals and corporates to invest their donations. The returns are then utilized to support various charitable activities, benefiting over 1,700 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) throughout Saudi Arabia.
This exhibition not only showcased the progress and completion of significant projects like the Al-Salam Endowment Hospital but also highlighted the broader impact of philanthropy facilitated by Ehsan across Saudi Arabia. Through interactive displays and comprehensive data, visitors gained insights into how their contributions are driving positive change in numerous communities.
