Egypt Hosts Inaugural International Airshow With Notable Saudi Participation

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt inaugurated the first Egypt International Airshow. The event, held at El Alamein International Airport, spans three days and features over 300 companies from more than 100 countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Notable attendees included General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, Major General Talal bin Suleiman Al-Ghamdi, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, and Brigadier General Abdul Karim bin Abdulrahman Al-Sudais. During the inauguration, a briefing was given on various aircraft such as the Saudi F-15 system, Typhoon aircraft, and the Saudi Hawks team.

Egypt's First Airshow Features Saudi Role

Following the briefing, President El-Sisi and other guests toured the exhibition hall. They viewed pavilions showcasing national and international aircraft and aerospace manufacturing companies. Among these was the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) pavilion.

A presentation at SAMI's pavilion highlighted their range of solutions and systems. These included a facility protection system using artificial intelligence (AI) and drones. The company also showcased its capabilities in design, development, production, technical support, maintenance, and manufacturing parts for the F-15SA aircraft.

The airshow aims to enhance manufacturing and digitalization systems in aviation, defense, and space sectors. It serves as an international platform for discussing achievements in space exploration, satellite communications, and civil and military applications of space technology.

Professional Air Shows

Attendees were treated to professional air shows. A standout performance was a solo display by the Saudi Eurofighter Typhoon, which demonstrated remarkable precision and accuracy.

The event provides an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss advancements in aviation technology. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between nations in aerospace development.
