Egypt Hosts The 15th Round Of The UAE President’s Cup Series For Purebred Arabian Horses At Gezira Equestrian Club

The 15th round of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses is set to take place at the Gezira Equestrian Club in Cairo. This event highlights the strong historical ties between the UAE and Egypt, showcasing their commitment to promoting Arabian horse racing. The series is renowned for its significance in the region, reflecting the UAE's dedication to supporting this noble sport.

Musallam Al Amri, a member of the Higher Organising Committee, stated, "Hosting the 15th round of the Cup in Egypt reflects its deep-rooted historical significance and symbolises the strong brotherly ties between the UAE and Egypt in supporting and celebrating the legacy of the Arabian horse." He emphasised that this event encourages participation from Egyptian owners and breeders.

The main race will cover 1600 metres and feature top competitors like Bareeq Al Amal, Monadel Saafan, Fahd Al Ameen, Deban Al Tahawia, Rawi, and Al Mashhoor. These horses represent some of Egypt's finest Purebred Arabian horses. The event will also include six additional races, each offering thrilling competition among elite horses.

The Mubadala Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Fillies will take place over 1400 metres. It features contenders such as Fahed Akhnaton, Hamas, Barq Badrawi, Kawashi, Omeir Saafan, Haddaf, Doha Al Tahawia, Anwar Nourhan, and Jarah Al Wadi Nourhan. This race promises an exciting showcase of talent.

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Colts will also be held over 1400 metres. Competitors include Al-Mougy from Al-Ahram Stables, Haddaf Bandar, Al-Awo Barham, Ghulam Badrawi, Al Helm Al Masry, Shaddad Troy, Badr Al-Fustat, Frankel, Al-Qadi, Shams Al-Huwaiti, and Misk Al-Tahawia.

Another notable race is the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Fillies over 1300 metres. Participants include Mared Akhnaton, Ghali Al-Amer, Siraj Badrawi, Ibn Al-Balad, and Farida Bandar. This race adds to the excitement with its impressive lineup.

Additional Race Details

The Al Masaood Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Colts will feature Sultan Hamdoun among others over a distance of 1400 metres. Other participants are Dayman Amer, Mansour Misr, Qutuz Badrawi, Rayan Rabab, Bahr Al-Zaki, Namoura Al-Tahawia and Samira Saafan.

The festival programme also includes the Al Dhafra Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Fillies at 1300 metres. Competing horses are Yadoum Al-Ezz along with Kayan Zaher Al-Badu Maqbool Akhnaton Tahi Al-Fareeda Sand Al-Awsieh Magasser Badrawi Rasheeq Al-Hamad Durrah Al-Tahawia Rahma Badrawi.

In addition to these races is Abu Dhabi Cup for Egyptian Purebred Arabian Colts covering 1400 metres featuring Haris al Ameen alongside competitors like al Habib Bashar Saafan Embabi Bandar Mabrouka Saafan Fath Taybah Areem Akher Jamal Saif al Samaida Dahman Basharah ensuring thrilling contests throughout this prestigious event series.

This year's edition continues to uphold its mission by preserving heritage while enhancing global recognition of Purebred Arabians through engaging events that foster broader participation across various categories within horse racing community worldwide.
