Egypt Strongly Condemns Israeli Violations In Gaza And Syria Amid Humanitarian Crisis
Egypt has strongly criticised Israel for its repeated violations in Gaza and Syria. The Egyptian government holds Israel accountable for the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, citing the blockade of aid for over two months and the use of starvation as a collective punishment method.
During a meeting with United Nations regional office heads in Cairo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty condemned Israeli actions. He accused Israel of deliberately worsening the humanitarian situation by blocking aid to Gaza for more than two months, using starvation as a systematic policy.

Abdelatty praised UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres for his leadership. Egypt values Guterres' support for the Arab-Islamic plan aimed at reconstructing Gaza. This plan includes urgent humanitarian relief, early recovery, and reconstruction while ensuring Palestinians remain on their land.
He mentioned ongoing discussions between Egypt and the UN to organise an international conference supporting this reconstruction plan. Abdelatty emphasised Egypt's unwavering stance on the importance of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), considering its role irreplaceable under current conditions.
Regarding Syria, Abdelatty condemned an Israeli airstrike near Damascus' presidential palace. He viewed this as another violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He warned that Israeli policies are increasing regional tensions and risks.
The Egyptian government continues to stress the need for international cooperation to address these issues. They believe that collective efforts are crucial to mitigate the humanitarian crises in both Gaza and Syria effectively.
Egypt remains committed to working with international partners to find solutions that respect regional sovereignty and ensure humanitarian needs are met without delay or obstruction.
