EGA Confirmed As Sector Partner For Advanced Infrastructure At Make It In The Emirates Event
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has been named the Sector Partner for Advanced Infrastructure by ADNEC Group at the fourth Make it in the Emirates event. This edition will highlight industry advancements, foster collaboration, and showcase investment opportunities, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a hub for industrial innovation and strategic partnerships.
The event, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, is organised by ADNEC Group. It will take place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from May 19 to 22, 2025. The exhibition will feature over 700 exhibitors and expects to welcome 30,000 visitors across 68,000 square meters of space covering 12 key industrial sectors.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, stated that hosting this event aligns with their commitment to national priorities. "Hosting Make it in the Emirates reflects ADNEC Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting national priorities through our venues and platforms," he said. The presence of partners like EGA highlights the importance of strong industrial foundations for a resilient economy.
Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, CEO of EGA, emphasised their significant role in the UAE aluminium sector. "EGA is the heart of the UAE aluminium sector, one of the UAE’s most important economic sectors," he noted. EGA's metal is a major export outside oil and gas and is used in various products from car parts to construction materials.
EGA has been pivotal in advancing local manufacturing and driving industrial self-sufficiency for nearly five decades. As one of the world's largest aluminium producers, EGA supports over 52,400 jobs in the UAE and contributes around 1.3% to its GDP. The company spends about 40% of its global procurement budget locally each year.
Supporting Sustainable Development
Make it in the Emirates serves as a platform for senior executives, industry leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, investors, and innovators from around the world. The event aims to set the stage for sustainable industrial growth and future manufacturing trends.
EGA's operations span bauxite mining to alumina refining and smelting. This integrated approach aligns with Make it in the Emirates' focus on sustainability and innovation. Approximately 10% of EGA's metal is sold locally to companies producing goods for both domestic and international markets.
The expanded fourth edition of Make it in the Emirates will continue to promote long-term sustainable growth within various industries. By gathering key stakeholders across sectors, it aims to advance the UAE’s industrial agenda while showcasing Abu Dhabi as a global centre for investment and collaboration.
