Efforts At Prophet's Mosque Enhance Spiritual And Tranquil Atmosphere For Pilgrims
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is committed to providing a serene environment for worshipers. As pilgrims from around the world visit the Prophet's Mosque, efforts are made to ensure smooth entry and exit through 141 strategically placed gates. This arrangement helps manage the flow of visitors during peak times efficiently.
To enhance accessibility, 194 electric staircases and elevators have been optimised across the mosque. These facilities are particularly beneficial for older people and those with disabilities, ensuring safe movement during prayer times and exits. The authority also monitors 100 passageways in both men's and women's sections to facilitate orderly movement.

During the post-Hajj season, the mosque is well-prepared to welcome visitors. Drinking water stations are available throughout the courtyards, ensuring pilgrims have access to water at all times. The Zamzam water program operates continuously, distributing over 10,000 dispensers of Zamzam water to meet the needs of worshipers.
The service area beneath the Prophet's Mosque includes 2,782 restrooms with a continuous water supply available 24 hours a day. Special provisions are made for older people and individuals with disabilities. This area can be accessed via staircases from various entrances located in the northern, western, southern, and eastern courtyards.
To accommodate large crowds, the northern, western, and southern courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque have been carpeted. Additionally, 250 umbrellas provide shade and protection from the sun. Over 437 fans attached to these umbrellas enhance comfort by ensuring a healthy environment for all worshipers.
Vehicle parking beneath the mosque is connected to this service zone, facilitating easy access for visitors. These comprehensive measures reflect the authority's dedication to creating a comfortable atmosphere for pilgrims visiting this sacred site.
