Education As A Catalyst For Progress: Insights From Abdullah Bin Zayed On UAE's Development Goals

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasised the pivotal role of education in the UAE's development. "Education is the catalyst for our progress and the foundation of our ambitious path to development," he stated. On Emirati Day for Education, he acknowledged educators' significant contributions to shaping the future.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of families in education, noting their role in nurturing and guiding youth. He praised students as symbols of hope and ambition, stressing the need to equip them with skills and knowledge for future leadership roles. "We also celebrate our key partners in developing our educational system, namely the families and parents," he added.

The Education, Human Development, and Community Development Council aims to align educational policies with labour market demands. H.H. H.H. Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairperson of the Council, described Emirati Day for Education as a celebration of lifelong learning. Sheikha Mariam expressed gratitude towards teachers and parents for their dedication to shaping future generations. Hajer Ahmed Althehli, Secretary-General of the Council, emphasised education's central role in national development. She noted that Emirati Education Day celebrates progress in education while recognising its critical role in preparing future leaders. "Education is central to our mission at the Education, Human Development, and Community Development Council," she stated.
