EDGE And SIATT Strengthen Partnership With Brazilian Navy For MANSUP-ER Anti-Ship Missile Development
EDGE, a prominent player in advanced technology and defence, has strengthened its partnership with the Brazilian Navy. This was achieved by signing a licence agreement with SIATT for transferring intellectual property rights of the MANSUP-ER missile. The agreement was finalised at LAAD 2025, hosted at the Riocentro Exhibition & Convention Centre in Rio de Janeiro.
The agreement grants EDGE Group and SIATT, Brazil's top smart weapons expert and an EDGE subsidiary, ownership of the launch tube and combat head of MANSUP, Brazil’s national anti-ship missile. It also outlines production, commercialisation, and royalty terms for both MANSUP and its extended-range version, MANSUP-ER.

Rodrigo Torres, EDGE Group's Chief Financial Officer, stated: "EDGE is confident that this milestone strengthens our commitment to advancing defence capabilities. Partnering with the Brazilian Navy and leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as MANSUP-ER, we can redefine strategic and operational readiness, offering more precise, efficient, and secure solutions to meet the challenges of the modern world."
This contract signifies a significant step in EDGE’s collaboration with SIATT and the Brazilian Navy. Following EDGE’s acquisition of SIATT, they announced plans to expand manufacturing capacity significantly. They also secured contracts to supply MANSUP and MANSUP-ER to both the Brazilian Navy and the UAE Ministry of Defence.
Currently, EDGE is negotiating with potential clients for this long-range surface-to-surface missile. The missile boasts adaptive sea-skimming capabilities, a 200 km range, inertial guidance, and active radar homing. The Brazilian naval fleet is rigorously testing these MANSUP solutions.
The integration of these systems into Tamandaré frigates is expected by late 2025. Additionally, EDGE has secured a $300 million contract with the UAE Armed Forces for MANSUP systems. They are also in high-level discussions with potential buyers across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
This strategic move not only enhances EDGE's position in global defence markets but also demonstrates their commitment to innovation in military technology. By collaborating closely with international partners like the Brazilian Navy, EDGE aims to deliver advanced solutions tailored to modern defence needs.
