EDGE And Pavo Group Announce Launch Of Joint Venture KEY4 For Advanced Defence Technologies
EDGE and Pavo Group, a technology company from Istanbul, have introduced KEY4, a joint venture focusing on critical defence and security technologies. This initiative is based in Abu Dhabi and aims to develop advanced solutions for both UAE priorities and global partners. The announcement took place at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025, held at the Istanbul Expo Centre from 22nd to 27th July.
Omar Al Zaabi of EDGE Group and Ali Özer of Pavo Group signed the agreement. Al Zaabi stated that KEY4 is a strategic extension of EDGE’s ability to provide mission-critical defence solutions with international partners. He emphasised their commitment to enhancing industrial capabilities, speeding up technology development, and transferring expertise into operational advantages.

Serkan Altınışık, CEO of Pavo Group, highlighted the alignment between the two companies. He noted that combining Türkiye’s engineering excellence with EDGE’s innovation will deliver next-generation solutions. These solutions aim to tackle complex challenges faced by regional and global partners.
KEY4 will leverage the expertise of both EDGE and Pavo Group across various domains. These include cryptography, cybersecurity, secure communications, interception systems, electronic warfare, AI for defence, and big data analytics. The collaboration also extends to command and control systems, data centres, integrated border security, smart surveillance, avionics, aerospace engineering, electro-optics, CBRN solutions, system design, and prototyping.
The joint venture aims to address evolving client needs in cybersecurity and AI while playing a crucial role in advancing the UAE’s defence ecosystem. It seeks to strengthen the UAE's position as a reliable contributor to global security and stability.
This partnership represents a significant step in combining sovereign capabilities with advanced technical expertise. By doing so, it aims to deliver innovative solutions that meet the increasingly complex demands of modern defence environments.
