EDGE Unveils New Armoured And Robotic Combat Vehicles To Enhance Modern Warfare At IDEX 2025
EDGE, a prominent player in advanced technology and defence, has introduced five innovative land platforms at IDEX 2025. These include three new AJBAN MK2 variants from NIMR, the HAVOC 8x8 Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) by MILREM, and an upgraded RABDAN 8x8 Recovery Vehicle from AL JASOOR. Khaled Al Zaabi, President – Platforms & Systems at EDGE, highlighted their commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for both manned and unmanned operations.
Al Zaabi stated, "As we continue to expand our land systems portfolio, EDGE is delivering advanced, globally competitive solutions that address the full spectrum of operational requirements – manned and unmanned. Through NIMR, MILREM ROBOTICS, and AL JASOOR, we are strengthening our capabilities with cutting-edge platforms that enhance mobility, survivability, and mission effectiveness. By investing in innovation and scalable technologies, we are positioning EDGE as a leader in next-generation land systems, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of modern warfare and meet the evolving demands of global defence forces."

NIMR has expanded its AJBAN series with three new armoured vehicle variants designed for specific missions. These vehicles share a common platform and subsystems to enhance scalability and provide users with multiple options. This design approach ensures an optimised logistical footprint for easier maintenance and support.
The AJBAN 452A variant can accommodate up to eleven personnel. This makes it suitable for roles such as Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), observation duties, ambulance services, or internal security operations. Its expanded crew capacity enhances its versatility across various mission profiles.
The AJBAN 432AU is a light tactical logistics vehicle with blast protection. It features an upgraded three-crew capacity specifically developed to house a mortar system. The vehicle is optimised for command integration with scalable heavy-duty axles offering multiple axle options.
The robust AJBAN 441AE platform supports logistics and mortar carrier operations. Built on a proven NIMR chassis, it accommodates five crew members. Its longer wheelbase and modular layout allow seamless adaptation for cargo transport or shelter configurations.
Both the AJBAN 432AU and 441AE can carry shelters to enhance their operational flexibility further. This adaptability makes them valuable assets in diverse military scenarios requiring rapid configuration changes.
MILREM's HAVOC RCV Introduction
MILREM ROBOTICS has launched the HAVOC 8x8 Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV), marking significant progress in hybrid unmanned ground vehicle technology. Designed for high-speed manoeuvrability and extended-range force projection, HAVOC integrates large-calibre weaponry for superior lethality on the battlefield.
The HAVOC operates near-silently due to its hybrid-electric powertrain enhancing stealth capabilities. Weighing less than traditional manned vehicles of similar size, it offers superior off-road performance with instantaneous torque delivery and pivot steering for optimal mobility in challenging terrains.
AL JASOOR's Upgraded RABDAN Recovery Vehicle
AL JASOOR has unveiled the enhanced RABDAN Recovery vehicle designed for rapid battlefield operations. Powered by a robust 720 HP engine, it provides exceptional mobility alongside high ballistic and mine protection to ensure crew safety during recovery missions.
This recovery vehicle features a hydraulic winch, dozer blade, and long-reach crane capable of lifting turret systems precisely. Its independent suspension combined with all-axle steering enhances agility while integrated stabilisers ensure stability during operations making it essential for battlefield support tasks.
