Eastern Region Governor Inaugurates Women’s Economic Forum 2024 To Empower Women In Business

The Women's Economic Forum 2024 was inaugurated by Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern Region. Organised by the Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) through its Women’s Empowerment Center, this eighth edition sees participation from various experts and professionals in economic affairs. The event is taking place at the Chamber's headquarters in Dammam.

Prince Saud, in his opening speech, highlighted the Saudi leadership's dedication to empowering women in multiple sectors. He stressed the significance of economic programs aimed at boosting women's roles in the national economy. During the event, he also honoured sponsors and supporters and toured an exhibition.

Women’s Economic Forum 2024 Launched by Governor

The forum includes four sessions that delve into the changing role of Saudi women under Vision 2030. Discussions cover women's contributions to Vision 2030's objectives, opportunities within entrepreneurship, strategies for business sustainability, and training's importance in preparing women for leadership roles.

Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, Chairman of ECCI's Board of Directors, informed Prince Saud about the forum’s goals and key initiatives supporting Saudi women's empowerment. These initiatives are crucial for enhancing women's participation in various economic sectors.

Tomorrow, four workshops will be held focusing on significant areas such as Dhahran Techno Valley's support for entrepreneurship and tourism entrepreneurship. Other topics include promoting workplace diversity and inclusiveness and creative leadership as essential for success in today's business world.

The forum aims to provide a platform for discussing strategies that ensure women's active involvement in achieving national economic goals. By fostering dialogue among stakeholders, it seeks to create a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs and leaders.

This event underscores the ongoing efforts to integrate women into all facets of economic development, aligning with broader national objectives. It highlights how empowering women can drive progress across various industries.
