Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud Bin Naif Inaugurates New Industrial Projects In Dammam
Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz recently inaugurated new industrial projects in Dammam's first and second industrial cities. The event was attended by Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Majed Al-Argoubi, CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). Prince Saud commended the industrial sector's progress, attributing it to government support aligned with Vision 2030.
The newly launched projects aim to enhance local content development and reinforce the Eastern Region as a significant industrial hub. The multi-story factories project in Dammam First Industrial City features an eight-floor building with 78 industrial units. These units provide a conducive environment for entrepreneurs and small to medium enterprise owners.

Each unit in the multi-story factories ranges from 156 to 251 square meters. They are equipped with advanced technology and offer integrated consulting and training services. This setup encourages business expansion and adds value to the industrial sector.
A ready-built factories project was also introduced in Dammam Second Industrial City. It includes 84 units designed for light industries, covering a total area exceeding 92,000 square meters. Unit sizes vary from 700 to 1,500 square meters, offering promising opportunities for entrepreneurs in fields like food, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical, electronics, and 3D printing technologies.
Majed Al-Argoubi highlighted that the Eastern Region hosts six industrial cities spanning over 40 million square meters. These cities accommodate more than 1,850 facilities with an impressive occupancy rate of 89%, indicating a thriving industrial sector.
Enhancing Investment Cooperation
A memorandum of understanding was signed between MODON and Eastern Region Municipality. This agreement aims to enhance regulatory and investment cooperation, creating a more attractive environment for industries and simplifying processes for investors.
The strategic initiatives align with Vision 2030 goals by fostering local content development and strengthening the region's position as a key industrial hub. These efforts are expected to stimulate economic growth and attract further investments into the region.
