Eastern Region Governor Reviews SAR 1.4 Billion Tourism Project At Half Moon Beach
The Eastern Region's Governor, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, recently received an update on a significant tourism and entertainment initiative. This project aims to boost the region's attractions. The development, valued at SAR1.4 billion, will take place on Half Moon Beach. Key figures attended the briefing, including Eastern Region Mayor Eng. Fahad Al-Jubeir and other notable stakeholders.
The resort will operate under the Rixos brand and be managed by Accor, a global leader in hospitality. It will cover 262,000 square meters and offer 400 hotel units alongside 41 villas. Guests can enjoy various restaurants, cafés, and entertainment options. This makes it the first all-inclusive coastal resort in the Eastern Province.

Among those present at the meeting were Eng. Omar bin Saleh Al-Abdullatif, CEO of the Eastern Region Development Authority; Eng. Zaki bin Hassan Al-Omran, CEO of Ashraq Development and Development Company; Naif Al-Madi from the Tourism Development Fund; Eng. Adel Al-Ghamdi from the National Water Company; and Fatih Tamince, Executive Director of FTG International Group.
The Tourism Development Fund is financing this ambitious project with support from foreign investment by FTG International Group. It aligns with Saudi Arabia's national tourism strategy to enhance regional quality of life and contribute to the Kingdom's GDP while strengthening tourism offerings in the Eastern Province.
Eastern Region Mayor Eng. Al-Jubeir expressed his appreciation to Prince Saud for his unwavering support. He praised the collaboration among stakeholders that is driving forward such transformative tourism initiatives in the region.
This development represents a strategic effort to elevate tourism in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. By offering diverse amenities and accommodations, it aims to attract both local and international visitors, thereby boosting economic growth in line with national objectives.
