The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced two new initiatives to enhance the experience of visitors arriving in Dubai during the Holy Month of Ramadan. These initiatives include a special passport stamp featuring the 'Ramadan In Dubai' logo and the distribution of complimentary SIM cards to ensure visitors can easily communicate during their stay. Additionally, a QR code is provided, directing visitors to the ‘Ramadan Events in Dubai’ guide, a comprehensive resource for exploring the city’s Ramadan festivities.
These efforts are part of the broader 'Ramadan In Dubai' campaign, led by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and announced by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The campaign is a collaborative effort involving over 20 entities in Dubai, aimed at showcasing the vibrancy and joy of Ramadan across the city.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA, emphasized that these initiatives are designed to create memorable experiences for visitors and reflect Dubai's renowned hospitality. He highlighted that such community-focused efforts are instrumental in reinforcing Dubai's status as a premier global tourism destination and showcasing its commitment to offering exceptional services that mirror the emirate’s identity as a center for creativity and innovation.
The ‘Ramadan Events in Dubai’ guide, available in both English and Arabic, offers insights into the city’s diverse destinations and experiences during Ramadan. It includes information on traditional customs, festivities, and family-friendly activities, aiming to enrich visitors' experiences during their stay. The guide is accessible online, providing an easy reference for tourists to discover all that Dubai has to offer during this special month.
The 'Ramadan In Dubai' campaign not only aims to highlight the unique festive atmosphere of the city during Ramadan but also seeks to foster a sense of community celebration. It showcases Dubai’s rich customs and authentic social traditions, inviting visitors to partake in the spirit of Ramadan and experience the warmth and hospitality that characterizes this vibrant city.
