Dubai RTA Awards 100 Taxi Drivers For Outstanding Service And Excellence

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently celebrated the outstanding contributions of 100 taxi drivers affiliated with RTA-franchised companies by awarding them the Taxi Sector Excellence Award. The event, highlighting the exceptional performance of these drivers, took place at RTA's Head Office, under the presence of Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, Nabil Yousef Al Ali, Director of Drivers' Affairs, and several directors and representatives from taxi franchise companies.

The 'Ideal Driver’ accolade was bestowed upon drivers who demonstrated exemplary service, adherence to high standards of excellence, and a commitment to fulfilling their duties. Ahmed Bahrozyan emphasised the rigorous evaluation system employed under the revised Excellence Award Policy for Taxis. This system evaluates drivers based on crucial criteria, including an absence of valid complaints, traffic violations, accidents due to driver error, and breaches of service quality. The assessment process is noted for its transparency, involving a dedicated Follow-up Team and collaboration with franchise companies to nominate standout drivers.

The initiative aims to boost customer service quality, encourage a competitive spirit among drivers and their companies, and ultimately improve traffic safety and customer satisfaction. It also seeks to motivate drivers to maintain the highest quality standards and excel in service delivery. RTA’s acknowledgment of competitive excellence among Dubai's taxi companies reflects its commitment to fostering growth within the industry, which has seen significant developments in e-hail taxis, hourly vehicle rentals, and the Hala Taxi service.

RTA's ongoing commitment to enhancing taxi services aligns with its broader objective of catering to the daily mobility needs of Dubai's residents. The awarded drivers expressed their gratitude for the recognition, viewing it as validation of RTA's dedication to its partners in the taxi industry and the collective effort to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with RTA regulations and traffic laws.
