Dubai Gears Up For A Packed Sports Schedule With 111 Events In March

Dubai is set to host an impressive lineup of 111 sports events this month, in a collaborative effort with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC). This sporting extravaganza includes 18 international championships, highlighting Dubai's position as a global hub for sports. Among the premier events are the World’s Strongest Man Championship and the Fazza International Powerlifting Championship for People of Determination, showcasing the city's commitment to inclusive sports.

The roster of events is diverse, ranging from the International Swimming Championships to the prestigious Dubai World Cup, and extending to the World Ski Tour – Street Category, and the World Diving Championships. The Dubai World Cup, a highlight of the month, is scheduled for March 30th at Meydan Racecourse. It will see 868 horses from 19 countries compete, with "Ushba Tesoro" from Japan defending its title.

Dubai to Host 111 Sports Events in March

The World Ski Tour – Street Category is drawing global attention as the final qualifier for the Paris Olympics 2024. It will feature participants from 65 countries, including renowned stars and Olympic champions, with 88 athletes aiming to secure their spots for Paris.

Set for March 28th at the Emirates Hotel in Dubai Sports City, the World’s Strongest Man Championship promises a display of extraordinary strength, with competitors engaging in weightlifting and towing heavy trucks. Meanwhile, the Emirates International Swimming Cup will take place at the Hamdan Sports Complex from March 8th to 10th, welcoming 1,200 swimmers from 15 countries across various categories and swimming styles.

The same venue will host the World Diving Championships from March 22nd to 24th, featuring a diverse group of divers in different categories and age groups. Additionally, the Fazza International Powerlifting Championship for People of Determination and the Fazza International Bow and Arrow Championship will further highlight Dubai's inclusive sports culture.

Beyond these international spectacles, Dubai will also be bustling with local and community championships throughout March. These events span a wide range of sports including sailing races, gymnastics competitions, horse jumping, swimming races, football tournaments, and chess championships.
