Dubai: RTA Launches 4 New Metro Link Routes, Modifies Existing Ones
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to introduce four new metro link bus routes and enhance several existing ones, including an intercity route, starting August 30 (Friday). These changes aim to improve the daily commute for passengers, ensuring smoother travel across the emirate.
The new routes include replacing Route 31 with two new routes, F39 and F40. Route F39 will operate from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and back, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. Similarly, Route F40 will run from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, and back, also every 30 minutes.
Additionally, Route F56 will be replaced by two new routes: F58 and F59. Route F58 will travel northward from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back, maintaining a 30-minute frequency. Route F59 will connect Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village and back, also every 30 minutes.
Route Modifications
Route 21 will be renamed and divided into two separate routes: 21A and 21B. Route 21A will start from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Conversely, Route 21B will run from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1. These changes are intended to simplify route identification for passengers.
On the same date, Route 61D will merge with Route 66. Similarly, Route 95 will combine with Route 95A, resulting in only Route 95A being operational. This adjustment allows users of the former Route 95 to connect to Route X92 more efficiently.

Enhanced Service Coverage
The path for Route 6 will be shortened due to the cancellation of the sector from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha. It will now run from Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City. Additionally, the path for Bus 95A will be adjusted to start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront to Parco Hypermarket, covering the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
Route adjustments also include modifications for Routes F31 and F45. New stops in The Greens will be added for Route F31 while additional stops in Al Furjan will be included for Route F45. Conversely, JAFZA One stop will be removed from Route F54.
Intercity Routes Adjustments
The intercity route E700 will see a change in its starting point; it will now commence from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station before heading towards Fujairah.
Service Enhancements
The RTA's Public Transport Agency plans enhancements for 35 bus routes to ensure timely arrivals. These include Routes: 6, 20B, 26, 36A, 36B, 50, 66, 83, 88, 95A, 96, 99, C01 among others.
The adjustments aim at expanding service coverage and improving user experience across the Emirate's public transport network. Passengers are advised to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
