Dubai's RTA To Launch Stadium Bus Station, Announces Major Bus Route Enhancements

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is gearing up for the launch of the new Stadium Bus Station on Friday, 3rd May. Situated in the Al Qusais Area adjacent to the Stadium Metro Station, this development is poised to significantly enhance the public transport experience in Dubai. The strategic location of the bus station is expected to meet the growing demand for bus services in the area.

The introduction of the Stadium Bus Station is part of RTA's broader initiative to reduce travel times and facilitate easier access to other mass transit systems. This move is anticipated to benefit a large number of commuters by offering them a more efficient and seamless travel experience. The station will serve as the starting point for buses on routes 19, F22, F23A, F23, F24, and W20, with route 23 also making a stop at this station.

In addition to launching the new bus station, the Public Transport Agency of RTA has announced several improvements to express lines aimed at ensuring faster travel times for passengers. These enhancements include modifications to routes such as 62-X02-X23-X22-X13-X25-X92-X64-X94, with a notable change being the shortening of the X28 line to terminate at Agora Mall.

The inter-city bus line E102 will also see adjustments, particularly on weekends, to better serve Musaffah Bus Station and improve commute times between Al Jaffiliya Station and Zayed International Airport Terminal A. Furthermore, RTA will update the schedules of 30 routes effective from 3rd May 2024. These routes include 19, 23, 27, 43, 62, C04, C10, C15, C18, D03, E102, E307, E400, F08, F17, F22, F23, F23A, F24, F51, W20, X02, X13, X22, X23, X25, X28, X64, X92, and X94.

As part of these network enhancements, Route 91A will be discontinued from the same date. Commuters are advised to use route 91 as an alternative from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Jebel Ali Port Zone. These changes underscore RTA's commitment to expanding and integrating Dubai's public bus network with other modes of public transport such as the metro, tram, and marine services. This comprehensive approach aims to provide residents and visitors with a more efficient and connected public transportation system.

RTA's efforts in improving and expanding Dubai's public transport infrastructure reflect its dedication to enhancing the quality of life for all residents and ensuring a sustainable and efficient transportation system for the future.
