3 New Routes To Global Village: Dubai RTA Announces Bus Feeder Services And Improvements Starting Nov 29

Starting 29 November 2024, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in will enhance the city's public transport network by introducing three new bus routes, including a direct connection from Satwa Bus Station to Global Village on Route 108.

This move is designed to boost tourism and improve access to Global Village, a popular cultural, entertainment, and shopping destination. The route will operate on weekends, public holidays, and during special events, from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following day, with buses running every 60 minutes.

To further support the city's growing transport needs, RTA is also unveiling Route F63, a metro feeder service linking Al Ras Metro Station with Union Bus Station via Al Khaleej Street and Naif Street, and Route J05, connecting Mira Community with Dubai Studio City and passing through Neshama Townhouses. These additions are part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to provide efficient, comprehensive transport solutions that cater to various areas of Dubai.

RTA plans to revise and optimize several existing bus services to ensure smoother, more efficient travel for daily commuters. Among these changes, Route 5 will see alterations to its path, now operating between Abu Hail Bus Station and Union Bus Station and omitting Al Ras Metro Station. Route 14 will be adjusted to end at Business Bay Metro Station, enhancing connectivity for passengers in business districts.

Significant route adjustments include shortening Route 33 to terminate at Karama Bus Station, thus avoiding congestion en route to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Additionally, Route 91 will be modified to include the Business Bay towards Jebel Ali Bus Station and will stop at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) in both directions, improving access to key commercial areas.

Further enhancements include revisions to Route J02 to provide a quicker link between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Production City, and Route J04, which will now serve Sports City, with reduced stops in Dubai Studio City. Routes F38 and F39 will undergo adjustments to cover Al Jurf Heights Group and Etihad Mall, respectively, with Route X92 being modified to serve DMCC Metro Stop and reduce stops at Dubai Investment Park.

A total of 30 bus routes will see improvements, including 7, 13D, 14, 20A, 21A, 21B, 30, 32C, 33, 34, 43, 44, 63E, 67, 91, DH1, E700, F05, F07, F26, F23, F38, F39, F54, F63, J01, J02, J04, J05, and X92. These adjustments aim to better synchronize with arrival times, ensuring that passengers experience more reliable and timely service.

RTA consistently reinforces its commitment to expanding and refining the public bus network to foster integration with other public transport modes, including the metro, tram, and marine transport. By improving connections between different transport options, RTA aspires to make public transport the preferred choice for navigating Dubai, thereby enhancing the city’s overall mobility infrastructure.
