Dubai's RTA Unveils Interactive Screens In Taxis For Improved Passenger Experience

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has taken a significant step towards enhancing the travel experience for taxi riders in the emirate. In a move aimed at injecting joy and satisfaction into every journey, RTA has rolled out an ambitious project featuring the installation of 4,500 advanced interactive screens across its taxi fleet. This initiative, which builds on a successful pilot involving 250 taxis in 2022, is a collaboration with Hala, the e-hailing taxi solution provider, and Binary Media, a company specializing in passenger experience.

The project was officially launched at a signing ceremony attended by key figures including Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the Public Transport Agency at RTA; Khaled Nuseibeh, CEO at Hala; and Santosh Sarma, Co-Founder and CEO at Binary Media. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in RTA's efforts to enhance the commuting experience by providing passengers with access to lifestyle content, news, entertainment, and exclusive offers and promotions.

Ahmed Bahrozyan expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to elevate passenger satisfaction. "We are delighted to collaborate with Hala and Binary Media to deliver an immersive travel experience," he stated. Khaled Nuseibeh echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Hala's dedication to leveraging technology for an unparalleled customer experience.

The onboard entertainment system developed by Binary aims to transform travel time into an opportunity for entertainment and discovery. Santosh Sarma shared his vision for the future of passenger experiences, where journeys become as meaningful as the destinations themselves. This initiative not only enhances the travel experience but also offers brands a unique platform to engage with customers.

Hala's role in this partnership is significant, managing 21,000 captains and a fleet of 12,000 cars provided by franchise partners. This extensive network ensures that Dubai residents and visitors can enjoy a superior transportation experience, aligned with Dubai's ambition to become a leading digital hub globally.

The introduction of interactive digital screens in taxis represents a forward-thinking approach to urban mobility. By offering curated content and local promotions during rides, RTA, Hala, and Binary Media are redefining the passenger experience in Dubai. This initiative not only promises to make journeys more enjoyable but also sets a new standard for digital innovation in public transport.
