Eid Al Fitr: Dubai Announces Free Parking On These Days, Revised Public Transport Timings
During the festive period of Eid Al Fitr, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a comprehensive schedule for its wide range of services, including Customer Happiness Centres, Paid Parking Zones, Public Buses, Dubai Metro & Tram, Marine Transport, and Service Provider Centres (Vehicle Testing).
This holistic approach ensures seamless commuting and access to RTA services for residents and tourists alike, enhancing the festive experience in Dubai.

Public Parking
As a gesture to residents and visitors during Eid Al Fitr, all public parking, except for the multi-level parking terminal, will be free of charge from the 29th of Ramadan till the 3rd of Shawwal. Parking tariffs will resume on the 4th of Shawwal.
This reflects RTA's commitment to ensuring that Dubai’s residents and visitors can enjoy the Eid Al Fitr celebrations without any transportation or service-related hassles. By providing clear and comprehensive information on service hours and operational adjustments, the RTA aids in planning commutes and activities during this festive period, further enhancing the joy and convenience of the Eid celebrations in Dubai.
Vehicle Testing Service Providers Centres will observe holidays from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal, resuming operations on 4 Shawwal. However, vehicle testing services will be available on 29th Ramadan and 3rd Shawwal 1445 Hijri/2024.
Customer Happiness Centres
All Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during the Eid holidays. Nonetheless, Smart Customer Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the RTA Head Office will continue to operate 24/7, catering to customer needs without interruption.
Dubai Metro and Tram
The Dubai Metro will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the following day on Saturday, 6 April, and from 8:00 am to 1:00 am the following day on Sunday, 7 April. From Monday 8 to Saturday 13 April, the service hours are 5:00 am to 1:00 am the following day, with Sunday, 14 April seeing operations from 8:00 am to midnight. The Dubai Tram will operate from Monday to Saturday, 6:00 am to 1:00 am the following day, and on Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 am the following day.
Dubai Bus
To accommodate the Eid Al Fitr holiday, changes will be made to the operating hours of Dubai Bus and intercity buses. Commuters are encouraged to check the S'hail App for specific adjustments during the holiday period.
Marine Transport
Marine transport services, including Water Taxis, Dubai Ferries, and Abras, will operate on special schedules. For instance, Water Taxis between Marina Mall and Bluewaters will run from 4:15 pm to 11:25 pm, based on demand from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Dubai Ferry services across various routes will be available from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with specific timings varying by route. Abras will offer services across various routes with timings extending from the morning till midnight, catering to the increased demand during the holiday season.
