Dubai RTA's Heartfelt Eid Initiatives Aimed At Supporting Vulnerable Groups
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a series of initiatives for Eid Al Fitr, in a heartwarming collaboration with various organizations including the Emirates Red Crescent, Rashid Center People of Determination, Al Etihad Charity Foundation, Keolis MHI — the Dubai Metro and Tram Operator — and Roxy Cinema. These initiatives are designed to bring joy and happiness to orphans, people of determination, and students during the festive season.
Eid Celebrations with a Purpose
The initiatives are part of a broader effort to strengthen community cohesion and embody the spirit of solidarity with orphans and people of determination. A key focus is on sharing the joy of Eid through the distribution of traditional Emirati attire, encapsulating the Emirati identity and the authenticity of national costumes. This year, the initiative will see the distribution of Kandoras for males and Makhaweer for females, in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, Al Etihad Charity Foundation, and Dar Al Hay Gents Tailoring for the Kandoras, and Salama Tailoring for the Makhaweer. The gesture aims to spread smiles and Eid greetings, reinforcing values of generosity and kindness.
Additionally, the initiative includes giving Eidiya to students from charitable schools, enabling them to fulfill their personal needs and partake in the Eid festivities. This act of kindness ensures that the spirit of Eid is shared widely, allowing students to enjoy the celebrations fully.
Creating Memorable Experiences
Keolis MHI is contributing to the festivities by arranging a special cinema outing for orphaned children. This experience is designed to provide entertainment and create lasting memories during the festive period, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and joy in community celebrations.
Annual Commitment to Community Engagement
RTA's involvement in community and humanitarian initiatives extends annually from Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr. These efforts not only showcase RTA's dedication to fostering tolerance and collaboration but also enhance its corporate image by encouraging communal efforts. By partnering with both public and private entities, RTA aims to elevate cooperation and fortify partnerships in community-driven initiatives. This approach underscores the commitment to leveraging cooperation agreements related to community affairs, benefiting various social groups both within the UAE and internationally.
Through these Eid initiatives, RTA demonstrates its dedication to enriching the community and spreading happiness during one of the most joyous times of the year. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared desire to make a positive impact on society, particularly among those who need it most. These efforts not only bring smiles to faces but also strengthen the fabric of the community, showcasing the values of solidarity and generosity that are deeply embedded in the Emirati culture.
