Eid Al Adha 2024: A Comprehensive Guide To Public Transport Timings In Dubai
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has out a comprehensive schedule for its range of services during the Eid Al Adha holiday from June 15-18, 2024, ensuring residents and visitors can plan their travel and transactions with ease. The RTA's announcement covers operational hours for Customer Happiness Centres, Vehicle Testing Services, Dubai Metro and Tram, public buses, marine transport options, and parking regulations throughout the festive period.
The RTA will briefly pause operations at all Service Providers Centres for vehicle testing during the Eid break. However, technical testing services will resume on June 18 with public halls opening the following day on Wednesday, June 19. For customer service, all RTA's Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during the holidays. Nonetheless, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA Head Office will continue to operate around the clock.
Public Transportation Timings
The Dubai Metro service will follow an adjusted schedule. The Red and Green lines will operate from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the following day on June 14 and 15. The service will start at 8:00 am on Sunday, June 16, and return to its regular hours from Monday to Friday, June 17-21. The Dubai Tram will run from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the next day from Monday to Saturday, and from 9:00 am to 1:00 am on Sunday.
For bus services, passengers are advised to download the S'hail app for updated timetables during Eid Al Adha. Excursions will also be available, including from Marina Mall and between Al Ghubaiba and the Aquarium in Sharjah, with multiple departures throughout the day.
Parking Regulations
Public parking will be free of charge across Dubai except for multi-storey parking terminals from June 15-18. This exemption provides convenience for residents and visitors during the Eid Al Adha celebrations.
The RTA's comprehensive planning for Eid Al Adha ensures that Dubai's transport services will continue to operate efficiently, catering to the needs of the public during the festive season. With detailed schedules and free parking, the RTA aims to facilitate a smooth and enjoyable Eid for everyone in the city.
