Dubai RTA's 24 Key Innovations Spearhead 2023-2030 Digital Strategy
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has a significant leap towards digital innovation by unveiling 24 innovative initiatives across seven key areas. These areas include Digital Twin, Metaverse, Robotics, ecosystems, enterprise solutions, AI, and data. This announcement marks the commencement of the first phase of its Digital Strategy for 202-2030. The strategy aims to develop an agile and scalable digital infrastructure, positioning Dubai as the world's smartest city.
The announcement was made during an event that saw the participation of over 300 technical experts from various companies, including Gartner, alongside RTA senior officials. The gathering signified the onset of a new era in digital transformation that integrates advanced technologies across Dubai.
The event facilitated a series of workshops designed to foster a collaborative environment. This atmosphere encouraged co-creation for the future of RTA projects through dynamic partnerships and interactive sessions. Focus was directed towards RTA's Digital portfolio over the next seven years, spotlighting major areas essential for propelling RTA’s technology-driven projects.
Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA, reiterated RTA's commitment to its Digital Vision. He outlined the steps towards crafting a futuristic transportation landscape in Dubai by harnessing innovative transport solutions, integrating smart city technologies, and leveraging digital advancements to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. "Through strategic collaborations and visionary initiatives, RTA continues to drive progress towards a digitally empowered future," he stated.
Al Mudharreb further elaborated on the strategic plan, highlighting the approach towards digital integration, addressing challenges, and setting ambitious future goals.
Experts from Gartner, a globally recognized information technology research and advisory company, provided insights into the evolving digital landscape. They emphasized the strategic directions necessary for RTA's technological advancements.
