Dubai RTA Announces Adjusted Service Hours For Ramadan Across Transport And Parking
As the Holy Month of Ramadan commences, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has made essential adjustments to the operation hours of various public services. These changes encompass a wide range of services including Customer Happiness Centres, Paid Parking Zones, and modes of public transportation such as buses, the Dubai Metro & Tram, and marine transport. Additionally, the operation hours for Service Provider Centres, which include Technical Testing, have also been revised.
Updated Parking Hours and Public Transportation Schedules

In light of Ramadan, the RTA has updated the paid parking hours in Dubai.
From Monday to Saturday, the paid parking will be active in two shifts: the first from 8am to 6pm and the second from 8pm to midnight.
Sundays will see free parking throughout the day. However, it's important to note that Tecom-regulated zones will maintain their usual timing, charging fees from 8am to 6pm. For those utilising multi-level car parking lots, services will be available 24 hours.
Dubai Metro and Tram Operations
The Dubai Metro will continue to operate as per its regular schedule during Ramadan.
For both the Red and Green Line stations, the timings from Monday to Thursday are set from 5am to midnight. On Fridays, operations extend from 5am to 1am the following day.
The Saturday schedule mirrors the weekday timings, while Sunday services begin later, at 8am, and run until midnight.
Similar stability in operation hours is seen with the Dubai Tram, which will adhere to its normal schedule throughout Ramadan.
From Monday to Saturday, the tram will be available from 6am to 1am the following day. On Sundays, the service starts at 9am and continues until 1am the following day.
Adjustments in Dubai Bus Timings
Modifications have been made to the Dubai Bus service timings for the duration of Ramadan.
From Monday to Friday, buses will operate from 4.30am to 12.30am the next day.
Over the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, services are available from 6am to 1am the following day. Additionally, the Metro Feeder buses are scheduled to align with the first and last metro operations.
Intercity Bus Services
For those travelling beyond Dubai, the RTA has confirmed the operation of several intercity bus routes.
To Abu Dhabi, routes E100, E101, and E102 will be active. For Al Ain, the E201 service is available. Those heading to Sharjah can use routes E303, E306, E307, E307A, and E315. Ajman travellers have the E400 and E411 routes, and the E700 service will connect to Fujairah. Lastly, route E16 is designated for travel to Hatta.
These adjustments in service hours by the RTA during Ramadan aim to accommodate the needs of the public while respecting the observance of this Holy Month. Residents and visitors in Dubai are encouraged to plan their travel and parking needs in advance, taking into account the updated schedules for a smooth and efficient experience.
