Dubai Press Club And Dubai Media Academy Collaborate On AI Training Programme For Media Professionals

The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in partnership with Dubai Media Academy, hosted a training programme to explore the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into media strategies. This initiative aimed to prepare media professionals for future digital trends and enhance their skills in using AI tools effectively.

The programme featured interactive workshops and knowledge sessions, providing a platform for media practitioners to learn innovative solutions. Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of DPC, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, emphasising its role in fostering an innovative media landscape and equipping talents with new skills.

Muna Bu Samra, Director of Dubai Media Academy, highlighted the importance of this joint effort in advancing regional media capabilities. She noted that the programme allowed participants to design AI-driven solutions, enhancing future opportunities in the industry. One session titled ‘From Lab to Newsroom: Success Stories of AI in Media’ presented practical case studies from leading organisations. Participants learned about real-world applications of AI in content production and distribution. Speakers from Ingram Micro, G&K Services, Forbes, CNBC Arabia, and others shared their insights.

Another session focused on addressing AI's challenges in media. Experts from Dell Technologies, Abu Dhabi University, Sky News Arabia, Asharq News, and Al Bayan newspaper discussed issues like misinformation and intellectual property protection. These discussions aimed at ensuring fairness in AI-driven media practices.

The programme underscored a commitment to identifying opportunities within AI while addressing potential risks. Participants were equipped with tools to develop effective strategies for AI integration in media operations.

This collaborative effort by DPC and Dubai Media Academy reflects a shared vision to drive innovation in the media sector. By focusing on AI technologies and adapting to industry changes, they aim to create a future-ready media ecosystem.
