Dubai Police Clinches Victory in UAE Rescue Challenge 2024
The UAE Rescue Challenge 2024, under the patronage of H.H. Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, concluded with a ceremony at Al Ruwayyah Training Field in Dubai. This event marked a significant gathering of rescue professionals, organized by the General Department of Transport and Rescue in partnership with the World Rescue Organisation (WRO). The closing ceremony saw the presence of notable figures including Major General Dr. Muhammad Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razooqi, Major General Ali Atiq Bin Lahej, and H.E. Dr. Major General Adel Al Suwaidi.
The competition concluded with Dubai Police Team 1 taking the first-place prize, showcasing their superior skills and expertise in the field. Close behind, Dubai Police Team 2 earned second place with their impressive performance, while the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority Team secured third place, demonstrating their dedication and effort throughout the challenge.

In specific categories, accolades were distributed to teams excelling in leadership, technical skills, and medical response. Dubai Police Team 1 was recognized as the 'Best Event Leader', followed by the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority Team and the General Command of Civil Defence. The 'Best Technical Team' title was also claimed by Dubai Police Team 1, with Dubai Police Team 2 and the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority Team following suit. In the 'Best Ambulance Team' category, Dubai Police Team 2 led the group, with their counterparts from Dubai Police Team 1 and The General Command of the Civil Defense Team trailing closely.
The challenge also extended its recognition to international participants, including teams from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Singapore, applauding their contributions and efforts in this competitive event.
Major General Dr. Muhammad Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razooqi reflected on the event's success, noting the intense competition among the nine teams—seven local and two international. He emphasized the importance of such competitions in assessing skills, sharing best practices, and fostering a spirit of excellence among rescue professionals.
The event's success was also attributed to its sponsors, including Emirates Auction as the official sponsor, Al Ghandi Auto as the gold sponsor, Concorde Corodex Group as the silver sponsor, and both Al Habtoor Group and Albaddad International as bronze sponsors.
