Brigadier Ahmad Alsam Al Naqbi stressed the importance of drivers following traffic laws and regulations. He urged motorists to maintain speed limits, avoid distractions while driving, keep a safe distance between vehicles, and take preventive measures for vehicle maintenance. This includes checking tyres for safety and replacing them if necessary.
Al Naqbi also highlighted the importance of being aware of essential information about vehicle tyres and how to react in case of a tyre burst. He advised drivers to have safety tools in their vehicles and not leave items such as lighters, perfumes, batteries, power banks, compressed containers, hand sanitisers, and gas cylinders inside their cars.
In addition to these precautions, Al Naqbi emphasised the need for fire extinguishers in vehicles so that motorists can quickly respond to emergencies during the hot summer months when temperatures rise.
