Dubai Police Enhances Road Safety Through National Summer Without Accidents Campaign
Dubai Police, through its General Department of Traffic, has intensified efforts to promote road safety as part of the Ministry of Interior's "Summer Without Accidents" campaign. This initiative, aimed at enhancing road safety and security, will continue until 1 September 2025. The campaign was announced during a press conference at Address Sky View Hotel.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, highlighted the alignment of this campaign with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to ensure safer roads. He emphasised that the initiative supports Dubai Police’s vision of a secure city by raising public awareness and encouraging adherence to traffic regulations.
Al Ghaithi underscored the importance of community involvement and media in spreading awareness about road safety. He expressed gratitude to campaign partners for their contributions to reducing road fatalities. AutoPro, the main sponsor, received special thanks for its support in these national efforts.
The press conference was attended by several key figures including Major General Rashid Khalifa bin Darwish Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue; Brigadier Ahmad Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police; Brigadier Juma bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic; Brigadier Hamouda bin Balsoida Al Ameri, Director of the General Department of Airport Security; and Zaid Alqufaidi, Executive Director of ENOC Retail.
Zaid Alqufaidi from ENOC expressed pride in supporting this national initiative through AutoPro. He affirmed ENOC’s commitment to raising awareness about vehicle maintenance and road safety during summer. The partnership with Dubai Police aims to highlight the importance of maintaining vehicles properly to prevent accidents.
Brigadier Ahmad Al Naqbi advised motorists on adhering to traffic laws and avoiding distractions while driving. He stressed maintaining safe distances between vehicles and checking tyre conditions regularly. During summer months, high temperatures increase blowout risks, making it crucial to use certified tyres and replace worn ones.
Al Ghaithi noted that Dubai's development has led to an increase in vehicles and road users. Ensuring public safety remains a national priority as the city continues to grow across various sectors. Protecting lives and property is essential amidst this expansion.
The event concluded with Major General Al Ghaithi presenting a certificate of appreciation to AutoPro for its ongoing support in promoting road safety through this campaign.
