It also follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, aiming to foster excellence, leadership, and a competitive edge on a global scale for Dubai.
This unique diploma, the first of its kind in the region, springs from the directives of His Excellency General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. It is designed to showcase the Dubai Police’s commitment to investing in human resources at both the local and international levels. This effort is part of the broader UAE ambition to lead in innovation and development, striving to position the country among the best in the world by the UAE Centennial 2071.
Brigadier Mohammed Ateeq Thani, who serves as the Director of the Training Centers Department at the General Department of Training and the Project Director, mentioned that the PIL diploma has successfully attracted police leaders from across the globe. He attributes this to Dubai’s reputation as a leader in security, innovation, and quality of life. The diploma encompasses an academic program, specialised training, and quality of life pillars. It includes lectures from 30 internationally recognised experts, offering a total of 586 training hours over a span of 16 weeks.
Colonel Dr. Mansour Hassan Al Balushi, the Acting Deputy Director of the Dubai Police Academy and Head of the Academic Program Team for the PIL Diploma, shed light on the collaboration with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This partnership aims to focus on leadership, innovation, and future security sciences.
