Dubai Police Launches Summer Initiative To Enhance Tourist Safety And Awareness

Dubai Police have introduced a summer campaign to bolster tourist safety. This initiative, led by the Tourist Police Department under the General Department of Criminal Investigation, aims to enhance security and promote awareness among the public. The campaign is organised in collaboration with several departments and organisations, including the Positive Spirit Council and MST JUNIOR Academy.

The launch took place at Umm Suqeim Beach, attended by Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, and Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council. Captain Ahmed Al Fujeir Al Muhairi, Head of the Beach Security Section, along with other officers and volunteers, were also present. Their combined efforts aim to ensure a secure environment for tourists.

Brigadier Al Jallaf emphasised that this initiative showcases Dubai Police's dedication to tourism security. He noted its role in raising public awareness about the services offered by the Tourist Police Department. Educating tourists on reporting incidents via emergency number 999 and non-emergency number 901 is a key focus.

The campaign includes various activities designed to engage tourists while promoting safety. At Umm Suqeim Beach, Dubai Police organised sporting events and distributed informational materials to visitors. These efforts aim to enrich tourists' experiences while ensuring their safety.

A highlight of the event was a performance by the Dubai Police band, which added a musical touch to the proceedings. Additionally, a K9 police dog show was held, showcasing the skills of these trained animals in maintaining security.
