Dubai Police Engages Over 300 Participants In Inclusive Summer Programme For People Of Determination
Dubai Police, in collaboration with the Councils for People of Determination Empowerment and Positive Spirit, recently hosted over 300 participants from the Dubai Club for People of Determination's summer programme. The event, themed "Our Summer is Fun," was part of the 2025 Year of Community initiative. Attendees visited the Dubai Police Museum, enjoying a vibrant atmosphere filled with community engagement and joy.
The summer programme spanned five weeks and included various activities such as interactive workshops, entertaining segments, competitions, and gift distributions. Khalid Magazine, a children's publication from the Security Media Department, also collaborated on this initiative. The event featured participation from Dubai Police’s tourism and security patrols and appearances by mascots Officer Mansour and Officer Amina.

Fatima Buhjair, Chair of the Positive Spirit Council and member of the People of Determination Empowerment Council, emphasised that their efforts align with Dubai Police’s strategic goal to enhance community happiness. She noted that the council supports the National Policy for Empowering People of Determination and Dubai’s "My Community… A City for Everyone" initiative to make the city inclusive and accessible.
Buhjair stated, "This collaboration between both councils and the Dubai Club for People of Determination reflects Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to promote social inclusion, especially during the summer. The initiative provides a safe, engaging environment that encourages interaction, nurtures skills, and reinforces the values of tolerance and social cohesion."
Fawzia Al Baloushi, Assistant Executive Director and Head of the Summer Programme Organising Committee at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, expressed gratitude to Dubai Police for its support in empowering people of determination. She highlighted that the summer programme is a vital platform for participants to invest their time productively while developing talents and creativity.
Al Baloushi explained that this programme aligns with the Year of Community 2025 initiative. It reflects leadership's vision to build a cohesive society promoting social responsibility. Such visits are part of broader efforts to enhance community integration and support Dubai’s vision as a people-of-determination-friendly city.
The event also featured a performance by the Dubai Police musical band which was met with enthusiasm from attendees. This initiative underscores Dubai Police's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and engaged.
