Dubai Police And Du Host Strategic Workshops To Spearhead Digital Transformation
Dubai Police, in a strategic move to advance digital transformation, has joined forces with du, a subsidiary of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, facilitating a series of workshops aimed at sharing knowledge, enhancing collaboration, and providing joint training. These initiatives are designed to boost readiness, encourage proactivity, and navigate the future digital landscape more effectively.
The collaboration brought together senior officers, specialists, and experts from various fields, including digital services, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI), amongst others. This collective effort underscores the commitment of both entities to leverage digital innovation for improved security systems and customer service excellence.
Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering at Dubai Police, stressed the value of these workshops. He explained they are in line with the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, aiming to fortify cooperation with strategic partners in rapidly growing sectors, notably the digital domain.
Al Hamrani underscored the workshops' role in aligning with the UAE's Digital Government Strategy 2025 and Dubai's digital strategy. These strategies aim to digitise life in Dubai, develop a resilient digital system, propel the digital economy, and enable digital community engagement. He lauded the partnership with "du" for its contribution to achieving leadership and excellence in digital transformation.
Ahmad Burhaima, Executive Director of Government Relations at du, highlighted the significance of the workshops in reflecting the productive collaboration with Dubai Police. He reaffirmed du's dedication to sharing expertise and enhancing digital transformation efforts with government entities. Burhaima emphasized the importance of digital transformation across various sectors, committing to the provision of smart solutions and advanced technologies.
Six Themes of Transformation
The workshops covered six pivotal themes in digital transformation. The topics ranged from logistics support, focusing on procurement and asset management, to artificial intelligence, discussing its applications in digital services and operations. Joint training, customer service, information security, and human resources and innovation were also central themes, each addressing critical aspects of digital transformation.
These workshops aimed at leadership qualification, service development, information security governance, and fostering innovation, demonstrating a holistic approach to digital transformation. The comprehensive coverage of subjects reflects the depth of collaboration between Dubai Police and du, underscoring their shared commitment to employing digital advancements for security enhancement and service excellence.
