Dubai Police Launches Autonomous Robotic Patrol DPR 02 To Enhance Security At Global Village
Dubai Police has introduced its latest advancement in smart policing, the autonomous robotic patrol "DPR 02." This announcement was made at GITEX Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The patrol will begin its first official mission on Wednesday at Global Village, showcasing a new era of advanced policing technology.
The robotic patrol is designed to operate autonomously and connect directly with the Command and Control Centre. This integration ensures quicker responses and greater accuracy in field operations. The launch highlights Dubai's commitment to a safer, smarter future, demonstrating leadership in intelligent security and innovation-driven policing.

Equipped with AI-powered navigation, 360-degree surveillance cameras, and advanced sensors, "DPR 02" enhances security in high-traffic areas and key routes. Its design enables easy manoeuvrability in both urban and open spaces, ensuring swift responses and effective coverage. This deployment marks a significant step in Dubai Police's journey toward smart security.
The introduction of "DPR 02" aligns with Dubai Police's vision of achieving connected, sustainable, and intelligent security operations. The robotic patrol complements human officers by providing full situational awareness and direct coordination with the Command and Control Centre for immediate response.
The announcement was attended by Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence; Brigadier Turki Abdulrahman bin Fares, Director of the General Department of Operations; Brigadier Mansour Yousef Al Gargaawi, Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs; Brigadier Dr Ibrahim bin Sebaa, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; and Engineer Farid Al Jouhari from Micropolis, a strategic partner in developing the patrol.
Dubai Police confirmed that deploying "DPR 02" at Global Village is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance security coverage. The robotic patrol supports officers with real-time data-based insights for rapid decision-making.
