Dubai's Parking Fees Set To Increase: What You Need To Know
There are two things Dubai residents watch closely: the weather and parking fees. While the former might spare you in winter, the latter is about to hit your wallet year-round.
If you regularly park in Al Sufouh 2, Knowledge Village, Dubai Media City, or Dubai Internet City, brace yourself. Starting February 1, 2025, the cost of parking in Zone F has jumped, and paid hours have stretched from 8 AM to 10 PM—four hours longer than before.

What's the Damage? The New Parking Rates
- 30 minutes – AED 2
- 1 hour – AED 4
- 2 hours – AED 8
- 3 hours – AED 12
- 4 hours – AED 16
- 5 hours – AED 20
- 6 hours – AED 24
- 7 hours – AED 28
- 24 hours – AED 32
For context, an hour of parking used to cost AED 2, and four hours cost just AED 11—meaning prices have nearly doubled for longer stays.
As if the price hike wasn't enough, Dubai's Variable Parking Tariff Policy will roll out in March 2025. Think of it as surge pricing for parking—rates will increase during peak hours (8 AM - 10 AM and 4 PM - 8 PM):
- Premium spots: AED 6 per hour
- Regular public parking: AED 4 per hour
The good news? Rates will stay the same during off-peak hours, and parking remains free overnight (10 PM - 8 AM) and on Sundays.
If you work in Dubai Media City or Internet City, expect higher daily parking expenses. Those who leave their cars parked for long stretches may feel the pinch the most.
For those who park in premium zones, costs could rival Dubai Metro's daily fare—raising the question: Is parking still worth it, or is public transport becoming the smarter choice?
With Dubai's expansion and rising car ownership, parking isn't just a convenience—it's a commodity. The question is, will residents absorb the cost or start looking for alternatives? If history is any indicator, expect ride-sharing, carpooling, and Metro ridership to spike once these new fees kick in.
One thing is clear—your morning coffee won't be the only daily expense you'll be thinking twice about.
