Dubai Municipality And Siemens Partner To Enhance AI Integration In Public Facilities
Dubai Municipality has partnered with Siemens to boost the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology in public facilities. This agreement aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), aiming to create a sustainable, knowledge-driven digital economy. The focus is on improving city infrastructure and public services through innovation.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Badr Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, and Helmut von Struve, CEO of Siemens Middle East and the UAE. This collaboration will explore innovative AI applications in facility operations, energy management, and digital infrastructure. It aims to optimise urban asset performance.

Badr Anwahi stated, "Through this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to integrating advanced digital solutions and artificial intelligence into the design, management, and operation of Dubai’s public spaces. Siemens’ global expertise in intelligent infrastructure will support us in enhancing the efficiency, sustainability, and long-term performance of these spaces. Our focus is to ensure that Dubai’s parks, beaches, and public environments continue to offer safe, resilient, and high-quality experiences for all members of the community, in line with the emirate’s vision for a more sustainable and liveable urban environment."
The MoU sets a framework for piloting Siemens’ digital solutions across various public infrastructures. Collaboration areas include predictive maintenance systems, AI-powered building automation, energy optimisation, and smart analytics platforms. These tools will monitor environmental and operational performance in real time.
Dubai Municipality and Siemens will also develop technical guidelines to share global best practices in smart infrastructure. This initiative supports the Municipality's goal of creating efficient public spaces that meet community needs sustainably.
