Dubai Municipality Highlights Innovative Tourism Projects At Arabian Travel Market 2025 To Enhance Global Appeal

Dubai Municipality is taking part in the 32nd Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, a major event for the travel and tourism industry. The Municipality aims to highlight its innovative tourism projects and strategies that aim to position Dubai as a leading global tourism destination. The event is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28th April to 1st May.

During the exhibition, Dubai Municipality will provide detailed insights into its world-class tourism initiatives. A key highlight is the AED2 billion Therme Dubai, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and stands as the tallest globally. This project aims to improve community life quality and enhance visitors' experiences with features like a spa and an interactive garden.

Dubai Municipality Showcases Tourism Innovations at ATM 2025

The Municipality is also focusing on transforming Dubai's public beaches through innovative development projects. These initiatives aim to boost the appeal of Dubai's beaches as top global destinations by offering integrated tourism options that cater to both residents and tourists. This approach enhances their overall experience while visiting.

In addition, recreational and sports projects are being showcased, including those in parks across the emirate. Notably, Mushrif National Park features a mountain walking trail stretching 9.7 kilometres, making it the longest of its kind in central Dubai. The park also includes the Mushrif Hub, offering various leisure services.

Efforts to enhance historical areas are also underway, with a focus on Deira Souq as a key tourist spot. The Heritage and Tourist Trails Project aims to preserve Deira's symbolic value while modernising it. This project spans 1,740 metres through Deira's Traditional Markets, integrating facilities like prayer areas for women and smart bathrooms.

The Hatta Mountain Bike Trail offers another unique experience with its 86-kilometre length featuring 21 cycling lanes and 17 walking trails. This trail caters to tourists, professionals, and adventure seekers alike, providing diverse opportunities for exploration in Dubai's natural landscapes.

Strategic Vision for Tourism

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated that ATM is an important annual event in tourism. He mentioned that Dubai Municipality participates to showcase its future vision based on sustainability and innovation. This vision aims to make Dubai a leading global tourist destination while enhancing cultural identity.

Anwahi further explained that designing tourism experiences is crucial for Dubai Municipality's work. By implementing innovative projects in parks and recreational facilities, they create smart spaces that blend Emirati heritage with modern concepts. These efforts aim to meet residents' and visitors' aspirations while improving their quality of life.

The Municipality has equipped Deira markets with various amenities such as innovative umbrellas, lighting solutions, seating areas, and architectural furnishings reflecting historical character. These enhancements ensure accessibility for all visitors while preserving cultural significance.
