Dubai Municipality's parks and recreational areas attracted over 16.7 million visitors in the first half of 2025. This figure represents an increase of more than 250,000 compared to the same period in 2024. The rise in visitor numbers highlights these spaces' importance as prime spots for leisure and tourism, reinforcing Dubai's reputation as a city with a high quality of life.
The five major parks—Zabeel, Mushrif National Park, Al Safa, Al Mamzar, and Creek Park—welcomed a combined total of 3.7 million visitors. Additionally, 211 public parks across Dubai saw over 11.4 million guests. The Quranic Park attracted around 813,000 visitors, while Dubai Frame had 748,000 people visit. Children's City hosted about 51,000 guests during this period.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated that ongoing investments have turned these parks into year-round attractions blending leisure and culture. "Ongoing investments in upgrading parks and recreational facilities have transformed them into year-round attractions that combine leisure, culture, and community engagement," he said.
Anwahi also mentioned that these parks are integral to Dubai's urban development model. They provide sustainability and joy through thoughtful design and accessibility. "Our parks are a key part of Dubai’s balanced urban development model, delivering both sustainability and joy through thoughtful design, innovation, and accessibility," he added.
Designed to meet top international urban planning standards, Dubai's parks offer a mix of entertainment and relaxation amidst natural settings. They contribute significantly to creating a healthy environment that supports both physical and mental well-being.
The Municipality's efforts align with several strategic initiatives like the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. These initiatives aim to expand pedestrian-friendly public spaces throughout the emirate under the 'Dubai Walk' initiative.
The expansion of green corridors has also facilitated more public events. Over 1,485 recreational, sports, cultural, and community events took place in these venues during the first half of 2025. This reflects their role as active community hubs.
Dubai Municipality oversees more than 220 public parks equipped with modern amenities. These spaces are popular among citizens, residents, and tourists alike. The Municipality aims to provide inclusive experiences that support well-being and environmental stewardship while boosting Dubai's tourism economy.
The continuous enhancement of these facilities underscores their significance in promoting a vibrant lifestyle in Dubai. The city's commitment to maintaining high-quality recreational spaces is evident in its strategic planning efforts aimed at improving residents' quality of life while attracting global visitors.
