Dubai Municipality Becomes First Worldwide To Achieve Level 3 International Foresight Accreditation

Dubai Municipality has been awarded the Level 3 International Foresight Accreditation, marking it as the first municipality globally to achieve this honour. This recognition was granted by the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) for its advanced capabilities in structured foresight assessment and future preparedness. This achievement reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for future foresight.

The accreditation was achieved at Level 3 maturity of the GIMI S4 Future Foresight Maturity Model. This model is a recognised framework used to assess leadership in future foresight among governments and organisations. The Level 3 maturity signifies systematic foresight, which involves integrating foresight into institutional and strategic planning processes using established tools, methodologies, and performance monitoring.

By securing this accreditation, Dubai Municipality has showcased its leadership as a government entity with advanced foresight practices. It applies global standards in scanning future trends, conducting strategic scenario analysis, and supporting proactive planning. The Municipality has also demonstrated strong capabilities in identifying strategic strengths and developmental opportunities that contribute to building a forward-looking roadmap enhancing resilience and future preparedness.

Global Innovation Management Institute's Role
