Dubai Municipality has introduced its Building Intelligence Platform at the World Governments Summit 2025. This digital platform offers detailed and current data on buildings throughout the emirate. It aligns with Dubai's goal to be a sustainable, tech-savvy global hub for urban innovation.

The platform is designed to enhance sustainable urban planning and create a clear vision for Dubai's future cityscape. By providing detailed building data and analytics, it aids investors, developers, and urban planners in making informed investment decisions that align with Dubai's Economic Agenda D33.

Dubai Launches Building Intelligence Platform at WGS

This initiative boosts Dubai's global competitiveness by promoting transparency and innovation in real estate and urban planning. The Building Intelligence Platform serves as a comprehensive tool offering precise data on buildings across the emirate, enabling informed decision-making for investors and developers.

Key insights provided by the platform include details such as the number of floors, building height, total area, gross floor area (GFA), and various usage classifications. It also provides granular data on residential and commercial units, including apartment numbers, unit sizes, and overall floor space.

The platform integrates economic indicators like commercial activities, rental values, demographic data, maintenance costs, and base price valuation. This offers a holistic view of market dynamics to support strategic investment and development planning.

Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director-General of Dubai Municipality, remarked that "The Building Intelligence Platform reflects Dubai's continuous growth and pioneering role in shaping the cities of the future." He added that it complements Dubai's open data policy by providing accessible information to maximise investment opportunities and drive urban sustainability.

Advancing Smart City Initiatives

Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated that their focus has been on driving urban innovation. They aim to strengthen resilience by integrating forward-looking governance and advanced technologies into planning processes.

The platform includes a Rental Index offering accurate rental data in real-time to support property investment plans. It also provides insights into multiple building uses, allowing both government entities and private sectors to optimise urban planning strategies for better land use efficiency.

Dubai Municipality is participating in WGS 2025 as a Smart City Partner. They are showcasing significant initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability, urban appeal, and quality of life in Dubai through this participation.

This initiative reinforces Dubai's status as one of the most advanced sustainable cities globally. The platform will improve decision-making for investors and decision-makers alike while enhancing property sector sustainability. It aligns with Dubai's vision for digital transformation and innovation in the future.
