Dubai Municipality Readies For Eid Al Fitr With Comprehensive Hygiene Plan

Dubai Municipality has unveiled comprehensive plans to maintain cleanliness and manage waste efficiently during the Eid Al Fitr holiday in Dubai. In a significant mobilization of resources, the municipality has allocated a substantial workforce comprising 2,300 cleaners and 650 hygiene engineers to ensure the emirate remains pristine throughout the festivities. This initiative underscores the municipality's commitment to environmental hygiene and public health.

To bolster the cleanliness of public spaces, Dubai Municipality has formed a dedicated field team of 84 members tasked with keeping the city's beaches spotless. Additionally, the deployment of 752 vehicles and machinery highlights the extensive preparations undertaken to address hygiene needs during this busy period. The focus extends to major roads and highways, where a specialized team of 57 cleaners, supported by 5 supervisory staff, will undertake cleaning operations.

Dubai's Eid Hygiene Plan

In anticipation of increased activity during Eid Al Fitr, the waste management teams have been proactive in cleaning all 10 Eid prayer areas across Dubai. Recognizing the critical nature of waste disposal during such peak times, waste treatment facilities will operate round-the-clock to manage the surge efficiently. Furthermore, the municipality will keep a close watch on private sector firms involved in waste management, ensuring that they fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

Public Services and Operations

Dubai Municipality has also made provisions for public convenience by offering services through its official website. These services include requests for permits and contracts related to waste disposal, facilitating smooth operations for residents and businesses alike. However, it is important to note that bulk waste disposal operations will see a temporary halt during the initial days of Eid Al Fitr, a move likely aimed at streamlining waste management processes during this period.

This extensive preparation by Dubai Municipality showcases its dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. By deploying a large workforce and ensuring continuous operations of waste disposal facilities, the municipality aims to provide a clean and healthy environment for both residents and visitors during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
